INSTRUMENTS
In this on-going series, Nonetheless, I challenge my artistic resourcefulness by using only essential elements and shapes of found objects where no part is superfluous. The finished artworks reveal minimalist sculptures of austere elegance.
As I assemble a sculpture, the elements are cleaned and sealed. The resulting surfaces of the woods and metals retain their intrinsic textures, colors and patinas to be appreciated for their blemished beauty.
